Artist's Statement
The concept for the piece was change. I wanted to start with something that was light and nice, but still had a tinge of something wrong with it. Then it goes through a change and comes out the other side recognizably the same but very different, the tinge of evil had now come to the forefront. To get this idea across I used ABA format, and some pitch changes to make it sound darker in the second part. When I was making the song I began with the sampling. I used the songs; "Clubbed to Death" by Rob D, "Everything in Its Right Place" by Radiohead, and "Sugar Free Jazz" by Soul Coughing. After I got the samples I just add some MIDI instrumentation and it was done. Itıs a pretty weird piece to come out of a guitar playing, Punk Rock poser from Vida, Oregon. Enjoy.
