Course description:
This course is designed for and limited to students in Bachelor of Music Degree programs. Material covered in this course includes basic piano techniques of scales, arpeggios and chords as well as development of sight-reading, transposing and performance abilities adequate for functioning at the piano. Successful completion of this course and Functional Piano Class II is one of the ways to satisfy the functional piano requirement. Completion of Music Theory/Ear-training I and II is recommended, but not required.
