Science Collaborative Research Program
The objective of the Science Collaborative Research Program (SCRP) is to provide selected undergraduate students the opportunity to work directly with faculty in the natural sciences on a nine-week summer research project. A stipend, food allowance, and housing expenses are provided to participating students.
Past faculty participants include members from the Departments of Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Environmental and Earth Sciences, Exercise Science, Physics, and Psychology. Funding for the program supports up to fourteen students and eight faculty members annually.
Students are expected to communicate their final research findings in a formal paper, deliver an oral presentation, and mount a poster display for an in-house symposium and an off-campus regional meeting of undergraduate research.
Note
The informational session for the 2013 SCRP will take place Thursday, January 17, 2013 from 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm in Collins 205.
