What to prepare:
For An Inspector Calls:
Please prepare (memorized) a 60-90 second monologue from a play written during the Modern period. Playwrights to consider include: JB Priestley (but not An Inspector Calls), Harold Pinter, George Bernard Shaw, Tom Stoppard, Oscar Wilde, Eugene O’Neil and Lillian Hellman.
An Inspector Calls was written in 1945, the play is set in 1912 in an upper middle class home in the North Midlands of England. The play will be performed in dialect, working with a dialect isn’t required for the general audition, although actors may be called upon to try a dialect during the callbacks on Monday evening August 28, 2017.
For the Dance Concert:
Please come warmed up and prepared to move. Be sure to wear form fitting, comfortable clothes for the general dance/aerial audition. Bring pointe shoes if interested in doing a pointe piece.
Dancers will audition in groups of 10 beginning at 11:00 a.m. August 27.
