Auditions for the 2016-17 Theatre Season

For spring 2017, Willamette University Theatre will be producing:

Lear's Daughters

Lear's Daughters Audition date: Sunday, December 11, 2016

11:30 a.m.: Arrive at theatre and fill out an audition form. You will receive an individual audition time slot.
12:00 p.m.: Individual auditions begin.

Lear's Daughters Callbacks: Monday, December 12, 2016

5:30 p.m.: Arrive at theatre and check in
6:00 p.m.: Individual callback auditions begin

Note:  A female musician is needed to work closely with the sound designer composing with voice, wind instruments, percussion, string, and possibly piano. All those interested in this role will fill out an audition form at 11:30 on Saturday. Musicians will then audition on Monday night, information will be sent out on Sunday with specific timing.


Macbeth Audition date: Sunday, January 15, 2017

11:30 a.m.: Arrive at theatre and fill out an audition form. You will receive an individual audition time slot.
12:00 p.m.: Individual auditions begin.

Macbeth Callbacks: Monday, January 16, 2017

5:30 p.m.: Arrive at theatre and check in
6:00 p.m.: Individual callback auditions begin


What to prepare:

For Lear's Daughters

Please prepare one (memorized) 90-second monologue from the script of Lear's Daughters.

For Macbeth

Please prepare one (memorized) 90-second monologue from the works of Shakespeare. We will begin the general audition with a movement and stage combat audition: please wear movement attire and closed-toe shoes. Please note: auditioners may be asked to sing.
