Annie Joslin

Instructor of Dance

A Salem native, Mrs. Joslin is a former student of American Ballet Academy.   She graduated from South Salem High School, and continued to Texas Christian University on dance scholarship.  At TCU, Mrs. Joslin graduated summa cum laude with a BFA in Ballet and a BBA in Entrepreneurial Management.  She has had the privilege to work with the renowned dancers Madame Baranova and Fernando Bujones.  Mrs. Joslin’s professional training led her to perform with Eugene Ballet and Ballet Concerto.  She toured Europe with Pegine Spetacolo Aperto, an Italian ballet company.

Mrs. Joslin has choreographed for TCU, Willamette University, and South Salem High School in addition to all performances presented by American Ballet Academy. Her choreography has been featured at performances by Salem Pop’s Orchestra, We Love Salem, and Clay Ball.  Her dancers have been invited to perform for numerous other local organizations including with Eugene Ballet Company, Salem Chamber Orchestra, local retirement homes, and Downtown’s First Wednesday. Mrs. Joslin has acted as Ballet Mistress for Citywide performances of Eugene Ballet’s Nutcracker and Moscow Ballet’s Nutcracker.  Students of American Ballet Academy have been invited to perform with Eugene Ballet Company on numerous occasions.  She is also Adjunct Professor of Dance at Willamette University.

Mrs. Joslin is an ABT® Certified Teacher, who has successfully completed the ABT® Teacher Training Intensive in Primary through Level 7 of the ABT® National Training Curriculum.

Mrs. Joslin was named one of Salem’s Top 20 Under 40 by the Statesman Journal in 2011.  Mrs. Joslin loves Salem, and loves being a business woman in Salem, as it allows her to give back to the community that supported her and gave her so many opportunities through her youth.
