Annie Joslin is the owner and director of American Ballet Academy, where she has taught for nearly 10 years. She graduated from South Salem High School. Joslin graduated summa cum laude from Texas Christian University with a BFA in Ballet and a BBA in Entrepreneurial Management. She has worked with renowned dancers Madame Baranova and Fernando Bujones. Joslin’s professional training led her to perform with Eugene Ballet and Ballet Concerto. She toured Europe with Pergine Spetacolo Aperto, an Italian ballet company. Joslin has choreographed for TCU and South Salem High School. Her dancers have been invited to perform for numerous local organizations including Eugene Ballet Company, Salem Chamber Orchestra, local retirement homes, and downtown’s First Wednesday. Joslin was chosen as Ballet Mistress for Moscow Ballet’s Nutcracker Performance in 2007. She is an Adjunct Professor of Dance at Willamette University. Mrs. Joslin was named one of Salem’s Top 20 Under 40 by the Statesman Journal in 2011.
