Mikel McDonald is a familiar face to the Willamette University stage. In 2001, he played the role of Uncle Peck in How I Learned to Drive, in 2000 he joined the theatre as a guest artist to play the role of Waiter in You Never Can Tell. He recently completed his second national tour as Atticus Finch in To Kill A Mockingbird with the Montana Repertory Theatre. Other regional theatre credits include Freidrich Miller in the world premiere of The Empress of Eden at the Empty Space Theatre in Seattle, John in Lips Together, Teeth Apart at the Arkansas Repertory Theatre, John in Oleanna at the Madison Repertory Theatre in Wisconsin, and Atticus Finch in To Kill a Mockingbird at Mississippi’s New Stage Theatre. Mikel has also played major roles in productions at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Utah Shakespearean Festival, Arizona Theatre Company, Colorado Shakespeare Festival, Salt Lake Acting Company, Virginia Shakespeare Festival, Idaho Shakespeare Festival and the Kennedy Center Theatre in Washington, D.C. Mikel is a member of Actor’s Equity Association.
