Teri Vore

Teri Vore earned a Master of Fine Arts in Dance from California Institute of the Arts. Having enjoyed the diversity of working in both theatre and concert dance settings, projects have included three seasons as resident choreographer for Ensemble Theatre Company of Santa Barbara’s Storybook Theatre productions of The Ugly Duckling, Jack and the Beanstalk, and Hansel and Gretel. Vore has also served as movement coach for the Los Angeles-based Lone Star Theatre Company’s production of Venus and Adonis and for the West Coast-based Corridor Theatre Collective’s up-coming production of Lessons in a Dead Language. Vore’s recent concert dance work included Charitas, a contemporary opera, and the evening length piece True Fiction, which premiered in both Los Angeles and Seoul, Korea at World Dance 2000. She is currently choreographing AtivCaAvoRa, a new evening length work, for her company ION DANCE COLLECTIVE. Vore presently teaches dance at Belmont High School in Los Angeles, as well as master classes in dance and choreography throughout Los Angeles area high schools through the California Institute of the Arts Community Arts Partnership (CAP) program.
