Most recently Lisa directed “Top Girls” at Stella Adler in New York City and played Madge in Time And The Conways off Broadway with the Epic Theatre Company. Lisa has directed and taught at various theatres and universities across the country including Manhattan Theatre Source, Riverside Theatre in Iowa City, New York University, Chautauqua Theatre Conservatory and Long Island University. Lisa has been assistant to Zelda Fichandler at the Arena Stage in Washington, D.C., and Lou Jacob at the Pearl Theatre Company, NYC. This past spring Lisa assisted playwright, Ellen McLaughlin with the NYC premier of Helen at the Public Theatre directed by Tony Kushner. Lisa was selected to be a member of the Drama League Directors project and received a grant to direct Weeping Woman for the New Directors/New Works project. Lisa co-founded Echoes of Youth, a not-for-profit theatre company at Covenant House, a two-year residence program for New York City’s runaway youth. Lisa received her MFA in acting at New York University followed by the NYU director program in 1997.
