Tori has directed for professional and academic theatres since 1986, and her work has been seen on professional stages in New York, Cairo, Phoenix, Boston, Tucson, Chicago, Los Angeles and Providence. She has been cited as best director in several year-end reviews, and her work is profiled in Shadows of Realism by Nancy Kindelan and Women Stage Directors Speak by Rebecca Daniels. She received her Ph.D. from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana. Tori Haring-Smith is vice president for educational affairs at Willamette University.
