Celine Sannes-Pond hails from Phoenix, Arizona, known for its cacti and Americanized tacos that could be better but could also probably be worse. They came to Willamette to escape the heat, and fell in love with the WGS program as a space both to learn more about the intricacies of interlocking systems of oppression, and to feel supported in their personal journey of queer, feminist self-discovery.
