Join the community for a workday at bush's naturescape. Bring tools if you have them available, but some will be provided. Join in the celebration on 19th Street between Bellevue and Oak with classes, games, activities and snacks.

Pringle Creek Clean Up, Discussion in Kaneko

Join the Sustainability Council and Community Members as we celebrate Earth Day with a stream restoration project at Pringle Creek behind TIUA and Kaneko on 14th St. Feel free to join us for as much time as you can contribute. Following the restoration project, an informal discussion will be held in the Kaneko Atrium to highlight the economic, equity, ecological, and educational components of the restoration project. Silver Falls State Park

Morning scotch broom pull followed by a BBQ lunch and an afternoon guided hike. You will need to provide your own transportation (parking will be free), but please carpool! Gloves and tools will be provided for this event. Pre-registration is required. Morning Star Community Church, 27th Ave SE and Keubler Blvd

Scoth broom weed pull along Kuebler Boulevard. Water and snacks will be provided to volunteers throughout the morning. Tools and gloves will be provided, but please wear sturdy shoes and prepare for rain. Pre-registration is appreciated, although walk-ins are welcome. Didn't get a chance to participate in International Earth Hour? Here's your chance. Willamette is holding its very own Earth Hour. Between 4:30 and 5:30p, turn off your lights and computers and enjoy fun sports activities on the Quad as an alternative. Contact <larringt> for more information.

Zena Farm

Join the Zena Farm Alternative Agriculture Community for the Spring Planting Party, open to the entire Willamette Community. Activities include: planting perennials, raising a "barn" (our new season extender for row crops), listening to live music, learning about alternative agriculture solutions, hunting for farm treasures (a scavenger hunt for kids), eating local food, entering the "Best Local Dish Cooking Contest" (prizes will be awarded) and enjoying a laid back afternoon.

To attend you MUST rsvp to this evite by Monday, April 5 so that we can put your name on the party list. Van transportation to and from campus will be provided for those without cars; limited parking is available at Zenith Vineyards, across the road from Zena Farm, so please carpool if you will be driving. When you rsvp, please let us know your preferred mode of transportation. Your name must be on the party list whether or not you will be driving.This is a free event.
