GEAR RENTAL


Welcome to the Outdoor Program Gear Rental Page! The program is able to rent tents, sleeping bags, sleeping pads, snowshoes, and other gear (upon request). See below for our rental list for specific items and prices. Note that there is a limited amount of gear, therefore, requests should be made early to ensure availability!

Gear rental requests should be made at least one week in advance. A request can be made in two different formats:

  1. Email the Outdoor Program at outdoor-program@willamette.edu, or
  2. Visit the Outdoor Program office on the 2nd floor of the UC during office hours.

Gear will be rented and returned from the Outdoor Program office. Please see the Gear Rental Policies for more information.

   Gear Rental Policies
  1. Full payment of rental fees will be paid at the time of pick up.
  2. Weekend rates apply for check-out on Friday afternoon and check-in by Tuesday afternoon. Daily rates apply for one 24 hour period.
  3. A late fee of $5 will be charged for every day that equipment is not returned.
  4. The renter will be charged for repair or replacement of damaged or lost equipment.
  5. Equipment must be returned clean and dry. The renter will be assessed an $8 (one hour of work) cleaning fee for returing dirty or wet equipment.
  6. No refunds will be allowed for equipment rented but not used or returned early.
  7. Within 24 hours of return of equipment the Outdoor Program will set up equipment and assess for damage and cleaning fees. We reserve the right to assess and charge damage and cleaning fees within this time period.
  8. Gear must be returned in the presence of Student Coordinator during their office hours or by appointment.
  9. Renter must be a Willamette University community member and provide proof (ID card).

SLEEPING BAGS

Weekday Rental (one night) = $3/sleeping bag
Weekend Rental (Friday-Monday) = $5/sleeping bag
Week Rental (Full Week) = $10/sleeping bag

Sleeping bag costs include a sleeping bag, sleeping bag liner, and sleeping pad.

The Outdoor Program requires the use of a sleeping bag liner with the sleeping bag.
