The Fund for Theological Education
Undergraduate fellowship for students who might be suited to ministry and theological education. Includes $1,500 stipend for educational expenses; attendance at the Annual Conference on Excellence in Minidtry to learn about ministry and theological education; and an additional $500 for use in being mentored in the exploration of vocation.
The Institute for Humane Studies
Scholarships of up to $12,000 are available for top-notch undergraduates and graduate students interested in a freer society. Students of any nationality studying in the United States or abroad are eligible to apply. For more information visit the official website.
Kaiser Permanente People with disAbilities Staff Association Scholarship Program Several $2,000 scholarships are awarded to encourage and support students with disAbilities seeking careers in health care or disAbility Advocacy profession. Deadline for submiitting an application is in October and winners are announced in October. More information and an application form are available in the Career Services Resource Center on the 2nd floor of the University Center. (Ask for the Blue Book on Scholarships & Fellowships.)
Math for America and Newton Fellowship Program
A nonprofit organization launched in 2004 to improve teacher quality by increasing the number of well trained and properly motivated people entering careers as high school mathematics teachers. Seeking talented seniors, graduate students and mid-career professionals who are interested in making a difference in the lives of young people. The fellowship offers master's level teacher training, on-going financial incentives ($90,000 in stipends over 5 years in addition to the teacher's salary) and supportive services to help ensure that their fellows launch successful, satisfying mathematics teaching careers.
