About Us
Along with our partners in Web Development, we offer planning assistance and tools for university faculty and staff promoting Willamette’s programs and events, and our creative professionals develop and distribute key communications for external audiences.
If your communication needs fall outside of the scope of our office, we can still provide advice or refer you to others who can help. In all our projects, we uphold design and content standards that reinforce Willamette’s public identity.
Our offices are in Waller Hall, on the fourth floor, and we welcome story suggestions via wu-stories@willamette.edu.

Project Coordination
Our production coordinator will help you initiate a project with our office and act as a liaison until the project is complete. She also can refer you to other communication resources on campus as needed.
Writing and Content Development
Our writers create public awareness of Willamette's students, faculty, staff and alumni by producing strategic content for web communications and campus publications, including the university’s homepage. We look for news, feature stories and events that are timely, help promote key university initiatives and are of interest to our primary audiences.
Media Relations
Our media relations director works with faculty and staff to promote news, stories and successes of Willamette’s people and programs. We encourage journalists to contact media relations directly to leverage Willamette's expert faculty and staff. To minimize disruptions to our students and faculty, campus visits for interviews or photography must be approved by Marketing Communications.

Design and Layout
The design team serves the university community by producing an array of print and electronic materials that support our mission, strategic plan and advance the Willamette University visual identity.
Visual Media
Our visual media manager creates high-quality images and videos of the Willamette community for strategic use in publications and on the university website, focusing on programs that help promote key university initiatives. If you are seeking a photographer to document something that falls outside the realm of our publications or key university initiatives, we may refer you to other photographers who can help with your project.
