By choosing to explore service opportunities you are taking a step toward self-discovery. We seek to provide you the tools and resources you need to find a volunteer placement that will be mutually beneficial for you and the community, to lead by example, and to step out of your comfort zone and learn about our neighboring communities.
Our hope is that you find a way to become civically engaged in social and/or environmental justice issues that create a connection between your mind and heart. Our goal is to provide you with opportunities to learn and grow. Explore our web site to find ways you can become involved in service through student organizations, service-immersion programs, and events through our Community Outreach Program.
Check out our current opportunities database to set up your own volunteer experience. Request to be added to the community service mail group to receive notice of on-campus volunteer opportunities. Spend time learning about leadership development opportunities in service, such as conferences, scholarships, and internships. Our resource list is always expanding to help you with your own research. Service-learning classes provide a way to experience academics with a hands-on option to serve for credit. The Lilly Outreach Grant program provides you with funding to get a group of your peers together to volunteer locally.
Our door is always open for you to stop in and ask questions.
