Agency Description:

Providing equine assisted therapy to children and adults in Salem and surrounding counties. ARI is the oldest and 3rd largest program of its kind in Oregon,and the largest in Marion County. ARI serves people with physical, sensory, learning and emotional issues and maintains a herd of 12 amazing therapy horses and ponies.

Opportunity Description:

ARI is located on 38 pristine acres which included a 24 stall horse stable and a large indoor arena and many acres of trails and forest. There are ongoing and special projects year round. All talents are welcome.

New Solutions - Volunteer Mentor Program

Agency Description:

Marion County Health Department New Solutions is looking for volunteer mentors to work flexible hours with a child and/or youth with mental health needs and provide support and encouragment by building a relationship through community activities.

Opportunity Description:

Volunteer mentors must be able to pass criminal background and have a personal vehicle, be committed for at least six months. The minimum age is 18 and training is provided. College age students can work with youth for the nine months while in school, but all other volunteers are asked to commit for one year.
