Download the webinarWillamette University recognizes that cost may be a concern as you plan to invest in your educational goals. Addressing how you can finance a quality education may at first seem overwhelming. Taken one step at a time, however, the process does not need to be mysterious or confusing. The staff of the Office of Financial Aid is committed to making the process as simple as possible. We are available to assist you with any questions you may have, help you understand the financial aid programs available, and guide you through the application process. As the primary beneficiary of the investment in your college education, we believe that you and your family are ultimately responsible for financing your education. Understandably, many families cannot afford the entire cost of college. Financial aid, therefore, is available to help fill the gap between what you and your family are expected to provide and what it will cost to attend Willamette University. We believe that our generous merit and need based scholarship programs, combined with student loans and part time employment, can make a Willamette University education affordable. Willamette University Brings Innovative Thinking to College FinancingNow more than ever, families are seeking new ideas to help make their students’ college educations more affordable. That is why we are pleased to announce an innovative program from Willamette University — the Scholar Achievement Loan. Over the next four years, currently enrolled and newly admitted Willamette students may apply for up to $2,500 annually beginning with the fall 2009 semester. What sets the Scholar Achievement Loan apart is that students will pay no interest and their entire Scholar Achievement Loan obligation will be forgiven when they graduate from Willamette University.
