The A&F Scholarships are available to all high school juniors and seniors as well as all students currently registered in any accredited post secondary institution. To apply for this scholarship you will need to write an essay on the topic below. The essay should be between 500 and 1000 words. - Alvin Cox Memorial Scholarship
To be eligible for the scholarship you must either be enrolled, or have been accepted to enroll in an accredited college or university (minimum of 3 hours / one class) during the spring semester of 2011. High school students who will be enrolled in dual credit courses that require out of pocket expenses are also eligible to apply.
- American Chemical Society Scholarship
To be eligible, a student must be African-American, Hispanic/Latino, or American Indian, a U.S. citizen or permanent resident of the U.S full-time student at an accredited college, university, or community college high academic achievers in chemistry or science with a 3.0 GPA or better able to demonstrate evidence of financial need according to FAFSA form a graduating high school senior, college freshman, sophomore or junior intending to or already majoring in chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering or a chemically-related science and planning a career in the chemical sciences or chemical technology.Please note that students intending to enter Pre-Med programs or pursing a degree in Pharmacy are not eligible for this scholarship.

Priority will be given to applicants who show true commitment to bettering their community.

- Arc of Washington Trust Fund Grant
Eligible students will be upper division or graduate students in school in the states of Washington, Alaska, Oregon or Idaho, who have demonstrated interest in the field of mental retardation. Student applicants should have a particular career interest in work relating to mental retardation. We ask that, in addition to completing a brief application form, interested students provide us with statements of their interest in the field of mental retardation, their academic and other qualifications, their achievements, and both their immediate and long-term goals. Letters of endorsement from no fewer than two faculty sponsors and transcripts from the colleges or universities the student has attended must accompany each students statement.See application for complete details.

Applicants must - • be United States citizens or legal residents, • be current high school seniors who plan to enroll full-time in an accredited two-year or four-year college or university in the United States by fall 2011 (enrollment at an accredited postsecondary institution outside of the United States will be considered on a case-by-case basis), • demonstrate ambition and self-drive as evidenced by outstanding achievement in an activity in school, the community or the workplace, and • be recommended by an unrelated adult who can attest to the student's achievement.

The Bill and Ann Shepherd Legal Scholarship Fund provides financial assistance to third-year law students dedicated to keeping Oregon a hate-free state. To be eligible for scholarship consideration, a candidate must: 1) be committed to equal rights and justice for gays, lesbians, bisexuals and transgendered persons 2) be a citizen of the United States 3) be a student at an accredited law school 4) demonstrate the potential to complete his/her law program successfully 5) and demonstrate the intent to practice law and promote the rights of the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered community.

The Dr. Aura-Lee A. and James Hobbs Pittenger American History Scholarship is awarded to graduating high school students who will pursue an undergraduate degree with a concentrated study of a minimum of 24 credit hours in American History and American Government. This award is intended to promote the study of our counrty's history among our finest students. U.S. Citizens residing abroad may apply through a Units Overseas Chapter. - Edward G. and Helen A. Borgens Elementary and Secondary Teacher Education Scholarships
Two one-time, preferred amount awards of up to $1,500 for students twenty-five 25 years of age or older. One award is given to students studying to teach at the elementary school level, the other to students studying to teach at the secondary level. All applicants must have at least a 3.50 GPA, be at least a college sophomore, and attend or plan on attending an accredited college or university. The award is based on academic merit and is not automatically renewable however, recipients may reapply for consideration as long as they meet the eligibility requirements. All applicants must obtain a letter of sponsorship from their local DAR chapter. The only exception is the American Indian Scholarship. - Electronic Document Systems Foundation Scholarship
Scholarships are based on any one or a combination of the following: Scholastic achievement, application essay, participation in school activities, community service, honors and organizational affiliations, and education objectives. Depending on specific donor criteria, other elements may be considered, such as geographic location, organization and presentation. The minimum GPA is 3.0 or a B average. Technical, trade school, community college, undergraduate and advanced-degree students in the U.S. and/or diploma or tertiary students outside of the U.S. may be considered for scholarships. Student must be attending full-time, an accredited college or university.

Any student in the last year of their teacher-training program. Two $1000 scholarships will be award. Any level of education will be considered, including counseling. The scholarship will be available for winter or spring term, 2012.

- Linn-Benton County Scholarship
The scholarship is for students seeking a career or academic degree in medicine or nursing. Applicants must also be seniors or graduates from a Linn or Benton County high school. The scholarship was developed from an endowment from the Linn and Benton County Medical Societies.
- Loren and Muriel Winterschied Scholarship
Junior standing by Fall 2012, Washington resident who lives in the region west of the crest of the Washington Cascade Mountains and north of the southern border of Pierce County. Recipient will have made recognized contributions to the well-being of the Willamette University community.
- Marine Corps Scholarship
A student must be the son or daughter of a Marine on active duty or in the Reserve or a former Marine or Marine Reservist who has received an Honorable Dishcharge, Medical Discharge, or who was killed while in the service of our country or of an active duty, reserve, or former U.S. Navy Corpsman who is serving or has served, with the U.S. Marine Corps. A student must also be a senior high school, high school graduate or currently enrolled as an undergraduate in an accredited college or university. The applicant must have a maximum family adjusted gross income of $80,000.There is also limited eligibility for grandchildren.

- Oregon Association of Public Accountants Scholarship Foundation
The scholarship committee would like to emphasize to students that ability to follow instructions in filling out the application will be among items evaluated. Some applications are rejected without review each year because a student failed to follow instructions. Ability to follow instructions is important to an accountant. Other qualifications include being an Oregon resident enrolled in or accepted by an accredited school within the state of Oregon as a full-time accounting student carrying a minimum of 12 credit hours.
- Oregon Collectors Association Bob Hasson Memorial Scholarship
Awarded to Oregon High School seniors for their use as fulltime students at any Oregon accredited public, private college, university or trade school. Scholarship recipients must start attendance within 12 months of the award and show proof of enrollment for a minimum of 12 credit hours. Essay subject is to be 1,000 to 1,500 words: Subject “Credit In The 21st Century”. Entries must be legible, able to be read in three to five minutes. Selection is based upon the application submission and student’s demonstrated interest/involvement in Native American activities or affairs. Eligibility is limited to undergraduate students who are residents of the state of Oregon or Clark County, Washington. - United Methodist Dollars for Scholars
The United Methodist Higher Education Foundation will provide a $1,000 matching scholarship for churches that raise and provide $1,000 on behalf of student congregational members enrolled or planning to enroll in a United Methodist-related college, university or seminary. These include matching scholarships specifically designated for Hispanic American, Asian American and Native American students who are eligible for HANA funds HANA funded through the General Board of Higher Education and Ministry.Applicants must be enrolled or enrolling as a full-time student in the fall at a UM-related college, university, or seminary and be an active member of The United Methodist Church for at least one year. Doctoral candidates are not eligible.

- William B. Webber Scholarship
Any current (2011-12) sophomore or junior woman majoring in biology, chemistry, environmental science, or physics enrolled full time in the College of Liberal Arts at Willamette University shall be eligible for consideration to receive the scholarship for the following academic year. Applicants must have a cumulative college grade point average of 3.00 or higher and must be in residence for the full academic year.

The scholarship is open to women with a GPA of 3.0 or higher who is currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in a transportation-related field such as transportation engineering, planning, finance, or logistics and plans to pursue a career in a transportation-related field.
