Atkinson Endowed Chair of Religious Studies:

The Department of Religious Studies at Willamette University invites applications for the Atkinson Endowed Chair of Religious Studies, tenure track, rank open. We seek a highly accomplished scholar in the areas of early Christian history and literature, Hellenistic Greek, and Greco-Roman religions.

Requirements: Ph.D. Teaching and scholarship in the areas of early Christian history and literature, Hellenistic Greek, and Greco-Roman religions. Competency in the Nag Hammadi codices and Coptic studies is desirable. Applicants should be prepared to teach undergraduate courses in the New Testament, Jesus and the Synoptic Gospels, legacy of Paul, advanced courses in the applicant's speciality, and contributions to general education.
