A once per year opportunity
Open Enrollment is the once per year opportunity for benefit eligible faculty and staff to make changes to their health and/or dental plan elections and renew or enroll in Flexible Spending Accounts. Please note that you cannot make changes, including terminating coverage, removing/adding dependents, or changing plans at any other time without an appropriate Qualifying Event and supporting documentation.
Important Dates
- First Day of Open Enrollment: Monday, February 13th
- Annual Benefits and Wellness Fair: Thursday, February 27th

Time: 10:00 am to 2:00 pm
An opportunity to meet our benefits vendors and a few wellness-oriented vendors - Last Day of Open Enrollment: Friday, March 9th
- Effective Date of Changes / Renewal: Thursday, April 1st
Our annual benefit "renewal" period when new rates are established by our health/dental plan providers for the coming plan year (April 1 - March 31 each year)
REQUIRMENTS
- If you currently have a Flexible Spending Account for health, dependent care or mass transit expenses and wish to continue it for the 2012-2013 plan year, you will need to RE-ENROLL in the plan.
- If you participate in the University's Opt Out program, you will need to RE-STATE your decision to waive the University provided coverage.
