Lilly Spring Discernment Retreat Participants will spend the weekend exploring thoughts about their purpose and passion in life and what they might like to do with their lives. There is no hidden agenda about what anyone's purpose in life is or should be. This is an opportunity to explore through various group and individual activities what each participant's unique purpose in life might be. Previous participants have said they appreciated the relaxed atmosphere and opportunity to get away and have a supportive space and activities conducive for contemplation. Plenty of free time is planned for hikes, homework, etc. Space is limited to 12-14 students. Willamette students who would like to receive registration information when it becomes available should contact the Office of the Chaplains.
Summer Internship Applications Due Willamette students who wish to apply for a Lilly Summer Internship with a congregation or religiously affiliated agency should be sure all application materials are received in the Office of the Chaplains on the second floor of the U.C. by 5:00 p.m.

A labyrinth is an ancient symbol (over 3,500 years old) representing wholeness. When this symbol is transferred to the ground and walked with purpose, it becomes a metaphor for the journey of life. It is a single path to our center, the inner self; a slowing down and listening, then returning to the outer world feeling renewed and rejuvenated. The benefits include stress reduction, relaxation and stillness along with the opportunity to open to our intuition and creativity.
Willamette students are invited to join students from four state university for a weekend to explore calling, vocation and how to live an authentic life. Click here for more information. |
