Community of Science: Searchable funding resource with more than 25,000 records across all disciplines (non-science areas too!) Willamette University's COS membership provides access to the COS Funding Opportunities database and faculty can opt to receive customizable weekly COS Funding Alerts sent via email. Duke University Funding Opportunities: Searchable resource provided by Duke's Office of Research Support and Office of Research Administration; includes information on funding sources for research and other scholarly projects.
Texas A&M University Office of Proposal Development: TAMU OPD maintains a comprehensive list of funding opportunities available by category, publishes a monthly e-research newsletter, and offers RSS Feeds for discipline-specific funding opportunities.
Foundation Directory Online, developed by the Foundation Center, provides the most current, accurate, and comprehensive information available on U.S. grantmakers and their grants, drawn from reliable sources, including IRS Form 990s, grantmaker web sites and annual reports, and the grantmakers themselves. Major Federal Agency Searches
Grants.gov: Search and find competitive grant opportunities from most Federal grant-making agencies. For ALL published calls, including Federal agencies that do not subscribe to grants.gov, search the Federal Register. National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH): NEH supports research, education, preservation, and public programs in the humanities. They sponsor an active Digital Humanities Initiative listserv that provides insight into their funding priorities.
National Endowment for the Arts (NEA): NEA supports nine disciplines in the arts and arts education, including literature, poetry, preservation, access, and translation.
National Institutes of Health (NIH): U.S. Departments of Health and Human Services' funding opportunities for medical and behavioral research. Sign up for the Weekly NIH Funding Opportunities and Notices listserv.
National Science Foundation (NSF): NSF awards grants for research and education in the sciences, mathematics, and engineering. National Science Foundation Update allows you to receive notifications about new content posted on the NSF website. Notification can be received via email or RSS.
