Why OFFRR requests this information

The Office for Faculty Research and Resources promotes faculty research and curriculum development and aids faculty in securing funding for such projects. OFFRR uses this form to:

• Monitor faculty projects within the CLA and School of Education. Because some projects are more likely to be funded by private donors or corporate sources, at its discretion, OFFRR sends copies of your request to the Office of University Relations to optimize chances for funding.
• Schedule and prioritize project development and grant writing to meet foundation deadlines.
• Anticipate budget needs for matching funds and in-kind matching and to predict load adjustments that will be required if a project is funded.
• Look for ways that individual projects might be incorporated into larger joint projects to improve the chances that both will be funded.
