iHuman Sciences Initiative Grant Program
The iHuman Sciences initiative (iHSi) of the departments of Psychology and Exercise Science provides funding for iHSi student/faculty collaborative research program at Willamette.
Student-faculty Collaborative Research Grant
iHuman Science student-faculty collaborative research awards are designated specifically to support interdisciplinary research projects that tie other disciplinary foci to Exercise Science or Psychology. To foster interdisciplinary cooperation, a collaborator from either Psychology or Exercise Science is required on each application. Projects can be conducted over the summer (2013) or during the academic year (2013-2014) but results must be presented at Student Scholarship Recognition Day 2014, as well as at a peer-reviewed regional or national conference. Two awards, to a maximum of $6,000 each, are available for 2013-2014 to cover participating faculty (maximum $1,000) and student stipends, equipment costs, and other study-related expenses.
Application Materials
Proposals detailing the purpose, methods and budget for each project, the proposed number of students to be involved, as well as the faculty collaborator from Exercise Science or Psychology, must be submitted by 5:00 pm on Wednesday April 3 to pharmer@willamette.edu.
