Overview

Al Akhawayn University (AUI) located in the city of Ifrane, Morocco was established in 1993. This modern and small university offers students academic stimulus and an involved campus life. Academics

Find Al Akhawayn classes: (Classes are called "Courses")

All classes at AUI are offered in English. Students interested in international studies and politics should consider Al Akhawayn. Other majors at AUI include, but are not limited to, business, computer science, communications, economics, English, environmental studies and sustainability, history and mathematics. See a full list of departments and the course catalog. 

Al Akhawayn also offers a number of interdisciplinary classes in Humanities (HUM) and Social Sciences (SSC) that focus on Islamic art and culture, gender and society, international and economic development, and politics and development of the Middle East and of Africa. Look for those courses under the course codes HUM and SSC.

Housing

Most of the students at Al Akhawayn live on campus, as do most exchange students. Students will live in double rooms with single baths and share common rooms and kitchens. A meal plan is provided.

Dates

The Al Akhawayn program is available in both the fall and spring semester. The fall semester starts late August and ends late December. The spring semester starts late January and ends mid-May.
