Sigma Chi
The Willamette University chapter of Sigma Chi finds strength in the diversity of its members. They seek to promote true friendship through the belief in common ideals while maintaining individuality. Sigma Chi promotes as its purpose the cultivation and maintenance of Friendship, Justice and Learning. They seek men of good character with strong morals, ambitious purposes and a high sense of honor. Their contributions to the Willamette community have not gone unnoticed, as the chapter time and time again wins multiple prestigious awards from their International Headquarters. Nationally, Sigma Chi has more active alumni than any other Greek letter organization. The Willamette University chapter of Sigma Chi awards approximately $25,000 in scholarships amongst their members each year.
Founded locally on January 4, 1947. Founded nationally on June 28, 1855.
