Welcome to the Opening Days website, and of course, the Willamette community! I am thrilled to introduce you to the Opening Days program, known commonly on campus as OD. This website will help you navigate as you discover the 2013 schedule, list of activities, information on the people involved, and specific details about the program.
This orientation program at Willamette is not exactly ordinary, rather a unique reflection of Willamette as a whole. Developed by students and staff, the program offers an introduction to various aspects of campus life for first year, transfer, and international students, to make sure everyone has the knowledge and confidence to succeed at Willamette.
Everyone involved has worked hard to make sure this program is fulfilling and enjoyable. Our enthusiastic group of leaders and diligent Opening Days Leadership Team are dedicated to provide you with an unforgettable experience. Over the summer, you will receive more information not only about this program, but also about your leaders who will be in contact with you prior to your arrival. This will hopefully begin a connection that will last beyond Opening Days.
This website has an assortment of information to help make the transition into Opening Days easier. You will find leader profiles, the program itinerary, information regarding transportation and lodging in Salem, and much more! During the program this website will contain the most recent and updated information.
With that, I would like to say, on behalf of the 2013 Opening Days staff, we hope you have a wonderful summer and we are looking forward to meeting you at Willamette in August!

Striving to provide a personal experience
By placing students in groups of 10-15 other incoming students which are facilitated by two student leaders. The groups serve as a safe environment where students are encouraged to make connections with one another in a setting outside the classroom.
