The NSOCO student leadership team has designed a diverse group of service activities to fill each day. There will be time every day when all three Jump Start programs collaborate. We will eat breakfast and dinner together. Each evening there will be options to join fun group activities.
Activities will focus on getting to know campus as well as our favorite local eating spots. You will drop your stuff off in your room, take your photo for your student ID, and spend some time getting to know your leaders and other NSOCO participants.
Serve at SOLV Beach Clean-Up.
Serve at Family Building Blocks, Jason Lee Retirement Center, and HOME Youth Center.
Serve at Colonia Libertad and Marion-Polk Foodshare. Join a WU faculty panel for discussion of the relationship between service and education, and on-campus resources for service.
All JumpStart participants will get a chance to select a placement for the day hosted by Ohana, Steppin'Out, or NSOCO. The NSOCO hosted day will include service at the Oregon Gardens and A. C. Gilbert's Discovery Village. Dinner on this evening will include administrators and faculty from across campus, as well as international students and athletes.
We will have you back to campus for Opening Days activities at 10:00 a.m.
