Matt Pitchford

Hello there!  I'm Matt Pitchford and I'm rather excited to get to know you over the time we have at NSOCO this year!  I was a participant last year and now I am a sophomore. 

I am planning on majoring in Rhetoric with an Economics minor.  I was heavily involved in community service as a Boy Scout during my time in high school.  Last year I was a part of the Community Action and Awareness Team (CAAT) and continued to organize, plan, and participate in service projects of many varieties.  We've done everything from holiday toy drives to clearing blackberry bushes to inviting guest speakers on different issues like hunger and disabilities.  I'm also involved with the Campus Ambassadors student ministry and Christian fellowship.  We've planned conferences, beach trips, retreats, and more than a few dodge ball "incidents."  

Aside from the usual classes and the clubs I'm involved in, I enjoy playing ping-pong with my friends, watching movies, and reading books.  I've always had a passion for Ultimate Frisbee, but I am more excited than exceptionally skilled.  I look forward to meeting, working, and having fun with you during Jumpstart!  Feel free to send me an email at mpitchfo@willamette.edu!
