Spring 2012 Hours: By appointment

I am a social psychologist by training and do research in areas such as judgment and decision making (including quantitative reasoning), attitude change, and survey/scale development. I have a long teaching history in statistics and research design and a basic knowledge of multiple statistical software packages such as Data Desk, SPSS, SYSTAT, Minitab, and VassarStats. I will be working in the Center helping other assistants during portions of their hours. Iʼm also available by appointment for consultations and special projects. Appointments can be requested via email; be sure to include the word “QUAD” in the subject line.

I am a senior Psychology major pursuing a minor in Japanese Studies. I have helped Professor Jeremy Miller (Psychology) with his research on cognitive performance and its relationship to genotype apolipoprotein E., and I am currently doing senior thesis research related to psychology and law. I completed AP Statistics (high school) and Statistics (Math 138) here. I have also taken Research Methods & Analysis I and II for Psychology (Psyc 252, 253). I have a basic knowledge of Data Desk and a developing knowledge of SYSTAT, and I have background in making graphs and charts on Excel.

I am a senior double major in Psychology and Spanish. This fall I will be writing my Spanish thesis and interning at Hillcrest Youth Correctional Facility. I am a member of the research team of the Willamette University College Experiences Study (WUCES) led by Dr. Erik Noftle (Psychology) and funded by the John Templeton Foundation. I have taken Research Methods & Analysis I and II (Psyc 252, 253). I have a basic knowledge of Data Desk and Excel and a developing knowledge of SYSTAT.

I am a senior Psychology Major, Chemistry Minor, and pre-med track student. Last year I conducted research with Professor James Friedrich (Psychology) looking at peopleʼs perceptions of bias in themselves and others and how this relates to their own decision making processes. This past summer I worked as a research assistant at the Portland Alcohol Research Center — a behavioral neuroscience lab studying the genetics of alcohol addiction. I have completed Research Methods & Analysis I and II (Psyc 252, 253) as well as various courses in the natural sciences including Principles of Biology (Bio 110), Ecology, Evolution, and Diversity (Bio 125), Cell Biology and Genetics (Bio 130), Chemistry I and II (115 & 116). I have solid background knowledge in Data Desk, SPSS, Excel, and Photoshop and a developing knowledge of SYSTAT.
