All aboard!

Located directly across the street from the Willamette campus is Salem's historic Amtrak Train station. With daily northbound service to Portland and Seattle and southbound service to Eugene, Amtrak provides a convenient transportation alternative. Sit back and relax (or even study) as you make your way to your desired destination. For fare and train schedule information, visit www.amtrak.com.

Your Cherriot awaits.

Salem-Keizer Transit (Cherriots) provides bus service to just about anywhere a student needs to go. Willamette is a regular stop, and campus is just a few short blocks from the main transit center. Best of all, Willamette students get a 50% discount. For route and schedule information, visit www.cherriots.org.

Lyft

Willamette has partnered with Lyft to provide students a new transportation resource for improved, reliable ride access to/from campus through the Safe Rides program.

SafeRide

Use your Willamette University student ID to pay for taxi services provided by Amanda's Taxi.

  • Call Amanda's Taxi at 503-559-2200. Tell the dispatcher you are using Willamette SafeRide.
  • Show the driver your valid Willamette ID card. The driver will enter your name and ID number on a SafeRide form.
  • When you arrive, fill in the total amount, sign, and return the form to the driver.
  • The Service Center will pay Yellow Cab and bill your student account for the total.
