Fulbright U.S.
Student Program
Official site: http://www.fulbrightonline.org/us/home.html

The Fulbright Program aims to foster mutual understanding among nations
through education and cultural exchanges. Administered by the U.S. Information
Agency, assisted by the Institute of International Education, each year
the program allows more than 800 Americans to study and conduct research
in over 150 countries.
The Fulbright program offers you the chance to go to any one of more than
150 participating countries for nine months or more, depending on the
program. You may pursue a one-year degree, simply take classes, teach,
pursue independent research, or carry out a creative project.
Each of these possibilities carries with it a set of guidelines and requirements.
In these pages you will find general advice about applying for Fulbright
grants, and about planning and writing your proposal. You are also responsible
for keeping track of any changes that might occur to the program in your
desired host country after the hard copies of the guide to participating
countries are printed and circulated in the spring. So visit the Fulbright
website early and often!
