The Foundation designed this contest to challenge college juniors and seniors to analyze urgent ethical issues in today's society. Juniors and seniors are invited to, in a 3,000 to 4,000 word essay, analyze the ethical questions and concerns facing them through an exploration of four suggested topics. First prize: $5,000; second prize, $2,500; third prize, $1,500. Information on each year's contest is posted on the website in June.
The 2014 Contest will open for submissions in Fall, 2013. This year's suggested topic: Articulate with clarity an ethical issue that you have encountered and analyze what it has taught you about ethics and yourself. Deadline for submissions will be December, 2013.
