Awesome Academic Adventures

Who can sign up?

Students entering grades 1-8 with an interest in learning more about science, the arts, world cultures and creative writing. Registration deadline: Seven (7) days prior to the beginning of the camp for which you register.

What is the program?

Four week-long sessions of custom-prepared activities for each age group. Themes of Wind, Fire, Earth and Water allow for integrated curriculum. For example, in the Wind week, students study the physics of flight, observe birds and make rockets as well as examining South American native cultures where flutes and feathers are prominent in music and art. Hands-on, lab based activities take full advantage of the wonderful facilities at Willamette. Passionate Willamette University MAT graduates teach small groups--usually no more than 10 students to each teacher.
