What is Math Circle?
Math Circle is created for students enrolled in High School Honors Geometry or higher level math with an interest in delving deeper into mathematics with intriguing activities and math puzzles.
Willamette University Math Circle brings higher level mathematics educators and students together to explore interesting problems and topics in mathematics. The group engages in fun, hands-on problem solving to deepen their understanding of mathematics.
A strong interest in math and a willingness to try new ways of using your mind is required.
Willamette Math Circle is led by a pair of Willamette University mathematics professors and several university students. Guest presenters will be invited to share their areas of expertise. Enrollment is limited to 12 students.
Warning: Math Circle is not a tutorial for students experiencing difficulty in high school math.
