Math Circles

Who can sign up?

Students entering grades 7-10 with an interest in delving deeper into mathematics with intriguing problem solving activities and mind bending math puzzles.

What is the program?

The Willamette University Math Circle brings mathematicians, mathematical scientists, educators and 7-10th grade students together. The students meet with mathematics professionals to work on interesting problems or topics in mathematics. The goal is to get the students excited about mathematics, and instill a deeper understanding of math beyond arithmetic.  The group will discuss various math topics and use fun, hands-on problem solving to deepen their understanding of mathematics.  An interest in math and a willingness to try new ways of using your mind is required.

Math Circles can be found all over the world. Learn more
