Saturday Explorations is an enrichment program for students in grades 5 through 8. The program is taught by Willamette University students, and an experienced teacher helps with the planning of all activities and is present each Saturday. There is a $50 fee that helps fund the university studies of the teachers involved and provides the resources and supplies for each class.
Register for our next session, which runs every Saturday from October 3-31, 2009.
Awesome Academic Adventures is a summer program for students entering grades 1 though 8. The integrated curriculum offers science, humanities and arts activities centered on a different theme each week. Themes for summer 2009 are Wind, Water and Fire. Students are active learners, using the natural and built environment of Willamette University as resources. Willamette Masters in Teaching graduates teach small classes (usually less than 10 students to each teacher)
Summer Explorations offers exciting enrichment classes in foreign language, computers, and writing. Courses for summer 2009 include French, Chinese, Robotics, Website design, and Creative writing. Class sizes are small and activities are hands-on.
Two sessions: June 22-26 and July 27-30
