"I have loved Cone Chapel since the minute I saw it, long before I was engaged. We chose to have our wedding there because of its beauty, but it also accommodates a large number without losing the intimacy; everyone feels a part of the ceremony. We received many compliments from friends and relatives about Cone Chapel and our pictures were beautiful! I would recommend Cone Chapel to any couple."
~Lisa Holliday
Beautiful Cone Chapel is the perfect place for a simple wedding. Renovated in 1989, the chapel features an impressive pipe organ patterned after the designs of renowned organ builder Thomas Appleton, a classic Steinway piano, stained glass windows and traditional pew seating for 300. The 50-foot long aisle, subtle lighting and ornately painted trim offer inviting warmth and charm for your special day.
Located in the historic Waller Hall, built in 1867, the chapel is located near many ideal locations for wedding photographs; the Willamette Rose Garden, the grassy banks of the Mill Stream, the stately Whipple Clock Tower as well as acres of manicured lawns and plantings.
For excellent reception sites, Willamette University offers the Montag Center and the Putnam University Center's Cat Cavern. Both are a short walk from Cone Chapel and have ideal dimensions for a dance floor, banquet and music setup.
Waller Hall Catering service for these two sites is provided through Bon Appetit, the University's own awardwinning caterers. Choose between light or heavy hors doeuvres, full meals and endless other possibilities. Bon Appetit's highly trained staff can also provide wine and beer served in accordance with University policy.
