During the 2012 summer break, Web Development will be upgrading the WebEdit system to version 7.0.x. The upgrade will be completed on July 24, 2012. With this change in WebEdit, along with a newer look and performance improvements, new tools and features will be available for use.
Below, is a list of the changes relevant to users.
WebEdit now displays a type ahead search box. The new asset chooser option allows you to:
- Select assets (ex. pages, files or folders) by listing previously viewed items (your history), or
- Type in a keyword, which will bring up a quick search of assets with the keyword entered.
The history menu now is viewed as a drop-down menu instead of needing to load the full page of previously visited assets. In addition, the history tool is incorporated into asset choosers.
The Move/Rename tab now automatically selects an asset to 'Unpublish Content' when a change is submitted.
