GSE Candidates Tutorial
How to find and update your profile
The following steps will walk you through how to locate and add content to your GSE profile.
Begin by Logging into webedit.willamette.edu.
Use your normal Willamette username and password.
Once logged in, click on the link under the Section "Starting Page".
This will take you directly to the profiles list.
On the left side, scroll up or down the list to find your name and click on it to select it.
Click on the Edit tab at the top.
In the form that appears, enter in your information in each section.
Some sections may be set up for you, such as your Name and Photo/Image — leave these settings as they are.
Link to your resume.
In the Resume section, click on the page icon to open a browser to locate your resume.
In the pop-up window that appears, use the left system tree to locate your pdf.
The "profiles" folder will be your starting location. Scroll down the list until you reach the folder, "pdf".
Click on the plus icon to the left of the folder to expand it.
Repeat this step with the subfolders inside "graduates_resumes" and "2013".
Inside of the 2013 folder, a file list will appear with names. Find your name and click on it to select it.
Then, click Confirm. Your resume is now linked.
If you have additional files to link, follow the same process in the fields underneath.
Optional materials can also be linked from an external location by entering the URL in the "External Url" field.
Note: Resumes can ONLY be linked locally (uploaded from WebEdit, not an external location)
Add an additional section.
If you need to add additional information in a specific section (for example, if you have more than two Degrees), follow these steps:
For specific sections with multiple entry slots, you will see plus and minus icons, along with their numbering, for example "(1/2)". This indicates that there are currently two slots, ordered as (1/2) and (2/2), one out of two and two out of two.
If you wish to add another, click on the plus icon to the left of the (2/2).
The form will re-load, revealing a new slot (3/3) -- three out of three slots -- for your third entry in the section.
If the section is not required, the process can be reversed by clicking on the minus icon next to the (3/3) for the new section.
Submit your Data.
When finished entering your content, scroll down to the very bottom of the form. Click the Submit button. Do NOT click "Save Draft".
A spell check may appear. You can either modify specific words, or leave them set to "ignore" and Submit one more time.
A green bar at the top of the screen will indicate that your data was saved successfully.
Your profile now has your new content. Please be aware that there will be a delay before your changes are seen on the live site.
If you need to make further updates, simply select you profile and Edit to make adjustments to the content.
