The counseling staff offers psychological counseling to assist individual students, couples, and small groups to deal with personal crises, social and academic transitions, family relations, alcohol and other drug problems, and any other issue of concern to the individual.
Willamette University is committed to ensuring that all students have equal access to its academic and social programs. The Office of Disability and Learning Services is a resource center for students with disabilities within all four colleges of the University. The office works to assess students' needs and provide appropriate and reasonable accommodations. In addition, academic support is available to all students.
The Health Services Center provides health care for acute illnesses and minor injuries as well as medical care for men's and women's reproductive health. There is no office visit charge to students; fees are charged for lab work, prescriptions and some supplies. Students are seen by appointment, but urgent problems will be seen immediately.
This office provides information about the Student Health Insurance Plan, which covers part of the cost of emergency care and some outpatient medical, mental health, and drug and alcohol care. Assistance with student insurance claim filing is available.
