Your health plays a vital role in how successfully you achieve your academic, social, and personal goals during college. When your health is good you will see favorable results. Poor health can adversely affect your college success. For most students, entering college marks an important transition in health care from parental management to self-management. Once at college, you are expected to assume responsibility for managing your daily life and your health as well. A passive attitude toward your health leaves you vulnerable to the negative effects of stress, poor nutrition, and illness. On the other hand an active wellness program guides you to make the appropriate lifestyle choices for yourself. When you are physically and mentally fit, you can pursue daily activities with a high level of positive energy that you can channel toward achieving your goals.
