Welcome

For nearly thirty years, the Willamette Jazz Festival has brought the leading names in jazz to the Salem area for a weekend of world-class jazz performance and education.  Renowned for its educational focus and artistic vision, the festival offers northwest jazz students from all levels of ability and experience the chance to learn from the finest jazz educators from across the country.

Housed in Smith Auditorium and the Rogers Music Center on the Willamette University campus, the jazz festival features middle school, high school and college big bands and small groups playing for our panel of adjudicators throughout the day and culminates in the evening Festival Concert with the Willamette Jazz Collective, "judges choice" guest ensemble and our featured guest artist.
