Adjudication Format

The Willamette University Jazz Festival uses a non-competitive festival format. Schools will be rated against a set standard and be awarded either gold, silver, or bronze award plaques.

Adjudication will be given by taped and written comment. Additionally, each band will receive a 25-minute clinic following their performance.

One band may be selected as the "adjudicators choice" band and have the honor of opening the 7:30 p.m. Festival Concert with Andy Martin, Directors will be asked for a cell phone number in order to be contacted during the day of the festival.
