Adjudication Format

The Willamette University Jazz Festival uses a non-competitive festival format, with no posted scores, band placement within divisions or trophies awarded.  In addition to written and taped feedback from our panel of adjucators, each band will receive a 25-minute clinic following their performance.

One ensemble *may* be selected as the "adjudicators choice" band at the discretion of the judges and have the honor of opening the 7:30 p.m. Festival Concert for Tim Ries and the Willamette Jazz Collective.
