M.Ed. Program Admission Information
Admissions Requirements:
- GPA of 3.0 or above in undergraduate coursework
- Resume
- Three letters of recommendation
- Written responses to admissions essay questions
- Signed Code of Conduct form
- Depending on area of specialization, a teaching license may be required
- Evidence of access to a classroom or a group of students for the purpose of conducting a field-based research experience during second year of program
- Interview with Admissions Director
- Interview with faculty as needed
- Preferred: Evidence of having worked with diverse populations
Review of Applications
Applications are reviewed monthly. Admission may be offered any time, but it is customary for students to begin their studies over the summer or during the fall semester. All applicants are expected to interview, by phone or in person, with the Admissions Director. An interview with a member of the program faculty, either in person or by phone, may be required as part of the admission process. Candidates may also request interviews with faculty.
