EDM 582 Practitioner Inquiry 2 (3 credits)
This course focuses on participants as researchers and reflective leaders in their educational settings which are rich and varied sites for developing deeper understandings about teaching and learning. Participants conduct the data collection portion of their research projects and begin engaging in cycles of data analysis to help them understand learning/teaching experiences. This course shifts from conducting educational research to a focus on applying research practices both formally and informally to future learning/teaching experiences. Participants will actively engage in quantitative and qualitative data analysis practices that address the findings of their projects. Participants will explore ways to continue to engaging in educational research and reflection, identifying organizations and colleagues that might result in further collaboration about issues relevant to practice and inquiry. Participants will also learn more about opportunities for sharing the findings of their research work and prepare to participate in a culminating presentation of their work.
