Language in Motion Northwest Conference

Join us for the Language in Motion Northwest Conference - Bringing rich language and cultural experiences to K-12 classrooms!*

Language in Motion NW (LiM) is a collaborative program connecting collegiate study abroad returners and international students with K - 12 students.  The program provides local classrooms with unique, experience-based perspectives on countries and cultures, as well as specific interactive activities that promote the cultivation of new passions, careful analysis of real-world issues and an intuitive understanding of the many values of intercultural learning.

The conference will focus on research, issues of practice and strategies for engaging students in language and culture in the classroom.

All teachers and administrators welcome!

PDUs and workshop credit (one semester hour) available from Willamette University Graduate School of Education.

*Funded by the Arthur Vining Davis Foundations, with support from Willamette university and the Oregon Writing Project.

Costs and Registration

Costs for the Workshop (including lunch) are:
  • $65 for teachers and administrators
  • $35 for students

Register Online

Last day to register is July 16.  There will be no refunds for cancellations requested after July 16.

Participants will need to purchase a Willamette University guest parking permit for $5.00.
