High School Writers' Workshops

There are two workshops for high school writers this summer at Willamette University!

Writing the College Essay

This writing-intensive four-day workshop is designed to help college-bound students write their application essays, whether for college or scholarship applications.  With the help of an expert team of writing teachers, students will craft unique, stylistic essays that will impress any admissions officer.  Avoid the pitfalls of writing a generic essay.  Sign up to take our workshop and take your writing from mundane to magnificent!

August 5-8 or August 12-15, 2013, 1:00 - 3:00 pm
(Choose either week)

Cost:  $90 (for one four-day session)

Jumpstart Your Senior Year:  Write Now!

This writing-intensive two-week workshop is designed to help incoming seniors meet the writing requirements for a high school diploma.  Students will receive instruction from highly training writing teachers and learn to craft essays that will meet the state writing requirements.  By the end of the two-week session, students will have completed a writing work sample that will be submitted to the students' school district.
